Jeff Beck & Rod Stewart

Since Beck, brilliant guitarist that he is, leaves a lot to be desired as a showman, it helps to have his old mate Rod in on the action. The song is the Curtis Mayfield populist rouser, and a lot of shots of Midwestern real-people types (taped in California around the Mojave Desert) fill the gaps between Beck and Stewart as they head toward a reunion. Most of the tape is in a sepia tone, which adds to the Depression-era feel. All the elements fit together, in fact, as they do in few videos.
