Too many Americans once thought AIDS was a disease that affected, as one expert says, “them, not us.” To that end, the producers of this documentary argue that all of “us”—not only homosexuals and drug users—need greater awareness.

ABC-TV News medical reporter George Strait and a host of experts do an admirable job of putting the illness in perspective, focusing on its indiscriminate swath through the black and Hispanic communities.
