>FALL FROM HEAVEN
After 11 seasons playing Rev. Eric Camden on 7th Heaven, the actor, 63, takes a walk on the sinister side as an evil scientist on the ABC superhero drama.
HOW DOES IT FEEL TO PLAY A BAD GUY?
Before 7th Heaven I played a string of dark, evil characters. I started to think if you’re a middle-aged white guy and you’re not Harrison Ford, you’re going to play a corrupt businessman or a philandering husband—because that’s what’s there. Now people are saying, “You can’t play a bad guy!”
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE SUPERHERO SHOW GROWING UP?
I’m old enough that I watched the original Superman TV show.
WHAT SUPERPOWERS DID YOU WISH YOU HAD?
We all wanted to fly. I think X-ray vision is right up there too, particularly for guys.
HOW DO YOU STAY IN SUCH GREAT SHAPE?
I work out 20 minutes a day on the elliptical in my garage. I have a playlist I put on shuffle, and I sing at the top of my lungs. The time just flies by.
