Indiana University basketball coach (and former Pan Am and U.S. Olympic coach) Bobby Knight was so frustrated by an official’s call that he threw a chair onto the court as his team was playing (and losing to) Purdue. “I do not think my action in the Purdue game was in any way necessary or appropriate,” he conceded in a statement later, but the Big Ten conference suspended him for one game, anyway.
