Ryan Seacrest is an executive producer for this reality romance show in which three dudes and their luggage move into a mansion stocked, like a pantry of love, with 32 single women. The twist is the aforementioned luggage: their overprotective and adoring mothers, who have a lot to say about any woman with daughter-in-law dreams. (The most obliviously outrageous mom, named Khalood Bojanowski, flat-out nixes matchups with minorities.) The one point of interest—left unclear in the preview for critics—will be how the mothers influence the eliminations. Ideally, they’d administer poison or disguise themselves as vixens to lure their sons away from undesirable girls—something between Serial Mom and Greek tragedy. What we have instead appears to be The Bachelor with apron strings.
