Kenny kicks off this show, taped at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre, with some misguided stabs at uptempo pop—Steve Winwood’s “Back in the High Life” and Huey Lewis’s “Workin’ for a Livin’ “—before drifting through all his hits. This is nominally a “holiday special” though, so after the second one of those dreaded pledge breaks, Kenny returns, joined by the Forester Sisters and a chorus, to do some caroling.

It’s a slick show and Kenny delivers it all without ever breaking into a sweat. That purple satin jacket he wears onstage has probably never even been in need of a visit to a dry cleaner.
