This week we look at two shows about heroes: JFK: A One-Man Show on PBS and Sakharov on HBO. One hero died 20 years ago, and the other has been dueling with death for weeks. A generation’s time separates these men, and that makes a difference in how we look at them. Through these two shows, you can see that vast difference; you can see what history does to the memories of men. Each show is worth watching on its own, but together they bring an added lesson. (And together is how you’ll have to watch them, since both air on the same night.)
