Dolly Parton

Hooray for Dollywood! To modify the Osmondism: she’s a little bit country, a little bit pop & roll. Actually, it’s more than a little bit of both, particularly on Dolly’s jaunty title-track hit single. Loads of strings and electric pianos mark this album as an L.A. production with local sessions men. Parton has one of the truly remarkable voices in popular music, and its grace and clarity are beautifully showcased here.
