The Audubon State Park’s 692 pastoral acres surround the Audubon Memorial Museum, a French chateau (constructed by WPA labor) that houses one of the finest assemblages of Audubon paintings, prints and personal articles in the world. Besides three editions of his ornithological opus, The Birds of America, look for excellent butterfly, egg and insect displays.
