Let’s get the serious stuff out of the way: Here’s a charming, comic rendition of Cinderella by the San Francisco Ballet, introduced by Miss Piggy and her “handsome green prince,” Kermit. Lovely family fare. Fine. Now let’s get to the really fun part: While watching the show, I accidentally hit my VCR’s fast-mo (as opposed to slo-mo) button. And I discovered that ballet is a kick to watch at high speed. Those suckers can move! So I thought of other things that’d be fun to watch speeded up on a VCR. Baseball could look exciting. Ronald and Nancy Reagan waving from their jet could look energetic. Other people’s home movies could be tolerable. The Dynastys would look like perfume commercials. But enough about Evelyn Wood Speed Viewing. Cinderella is cute.
