This low-budget thriller doesn’t pretend to be anything more than a good, solid shoot-’em-up. Yul Brynner, in one of his few screen roles (the last was the futuristic Westworld), shows his wrinkles but is effective as a jaded Mafia hit man out to avenge the Mob’s savage slaying of his younger brother. His vendetta takes him to Naples, where he chases the bad guys all over town and encounters bountiful Barbara Bouchet. She spends most of the movie taking off her clothes. Director Anthony Dawson has wisely kept the dialogue to a minimum and emphasized the bang-bang. The result, while not the Son of French Connection, succeeds admirably. (R)
