The script says all those bears, cougars, wolves, rattlesnakes and eagles start attacking people because of radiation pouring through the depleted ozone layer. It seems more likely that they were outraged to be in a film so humiliating to animals that the ASPCA ought to use it at benefits. At that, the animals outperform the human cast of Lynda Day George and husband Christopher, Leslie Nielsen and Michael Ansara, who seems less concerned with fighting the beasts than with keeping his hair in place.
