>Director Martin Scorsese, who did a magnificent job making sense of the inscrutable Bob Dylan for the documentary No Direction Home, now takes on the most mystical Beatle. Beautifully filmed, George Harrison: Living in the Material World (HBO, Oct. 5-6) is especially good on the singer-guitarist’s post-Beatles life as he sought enlightenment in Eastern religions. There’s an unexpectedly transcendent home-movie shot of his bare feet held up against a cloudless sky, as if he were ready to walk off on a carpet of blue air. []
