There’s a ‘Light and Healthy’ chapter. But there’s macaroni and cheese, fried chicken. I still cook the same for other people.

HOW HAS YOUR EATING CHANGED?
Before, I was hooked on the potato salad, the greens with ham hocks. Now I eat oatmeal, fish, salad. I want to live 64 more years. I need to treat myself well.

ADVICE FOR OTHER DIABETICS?
Diabetes is so popular now—everyone has it! You can’t stop living, and you can’t say it got you.
