>• Fresh off a Grammy win and selling out Madison Square Garden, this rock band from Nashville is on fire. Lead singer Caleb Followill (second from left), 27, chatted with us

ON HIS MOST MEMORABLE GRAMMY ENCOUNTER Neil Diamond asked what we’d won for. I was embarrassed to say, “Sex On Fire.” He looked at me and I was like, “Yeah, I don’t know what it’s about either!”

ON WHERE HE’LL PUT THE TROPHY The brightest part of my house, where everyone can see it! Or I’m thinking of making it a hood ornament on my car.

ON PLAYING WITH TWO BROTHERS AND ONE COUSIN We all have a really strong relationship, stronger now than ever. Me and [drummer-brother Nathan Followill] actually have two houses on the same land. I can probably throw a rock and hit his place. And my mom still lives across the street from us [near Nashville].

ON HIS RASPY VOICE I was born with it. It works for me because I get to enjoy life on the road!
