The Twentieth Century Archives at Boston University house Bette Davis’ scrapbooks, Alistair Cooke’s TV notes and Robert Redford’s diaries (sealed from the public, alas, until he releases them). Also preserved are letters and journals of Martin Luther King, Dan Rather and 900 other modern figures. This summer’s special: an exhibit on movie greats Claude Rains and Basil Rathbone.
