Beware: There are two series bearing DC Comics’ “Super Powers” imprint and featuring characters such as Batman and Superman. This is part of the Kid Stuff Toys “See & Read” series, and it is a third-rate 30 minutes. Incredibly, for a tape that is supposed to be teaching reading, there are gaffes in the captions that go with the dialogue (“to” for “too” and “it’s a bad one” becomes “it’s bad a one”). There is no animation, only still drawings. And the people reading the lines sound less like Super Heroes than Super Unemployed Actors. Does the Hall of Justice know about this? (Kid Stuff, $19.95)
