Four movies this week feature a similar kind of character: a timid fawn who can’t take a step in the forest without his mom; a twitty Brit barrister who can’t deduce diddly about love; a naive French jeune fille who can’t attract the man of her desire, and a myopic Turkish spy who can’t see the world beyond the tiny Greek island where he’s languished for 20 years. Innocents all, and all hell-bent for a rude awakening.
