This one’s for you, Bowser: a 30-minute video that is all barks, with English subtitles, and caters to Couch Canines. It begins with a quiz show called Boners, hosted by a boxer, Lob Barker. Guests are Mitzie Spaniel, a house dog, and Rolf von Shephard XXIII, a security specialist. Sample “bone-us” question: What did the little boy cry? Winning answer: “Woof!” Sample prize: a designer fire hydrant. Now get ready for Fitness with FiFi, a feisty Shih Tzu who yelps “Roll over!” among other commands. There’s a talk show with Johnny Barkson, a Bark Along with Mitch, a doggoned dull Miss Canine America contest, a cooking segment with “Julia Chow” (bone appétit!) and finally, a tour with Marlin Perkinese, host of Mild Kingdom, who introduces new places to take your master for a walk. Between programs there are commercials for products to correct bad doggie breath and unsightly mange spots. The video ends with a NewsHound Update to “keep you posted on what’s happening in this dog-eat-dog world.” Be understanding if your owner finds that watching this video with you is “Ruff!” (Kartes, $14.95; 800-582-2000)
