On Sept. 30, 1973 in Canaan, Conn., Peter Reilly, 18, was accused of murdering his mother. This absorbing film dramatizes his trial and the courage of his neighbors (including playwright Arthur Miller) who came to his defense. Paul Clemens makes a powerful film debut as Reilly, and Stefanie Powers plays the journalist who broke the story.
