DEAR READER,

I’m thrilled to be guest editing People’s beauty pages this week. It’s such a great way to celebrate the launch of our Kardashian Beauty hair-care line, which has been a long time in the making. A fun part of my day is the time I get to spend with my styling team, talking about tips, trends, products and ingredients that help my sisters and me rock whatever style we’re feeling at the moment. Over the years I’ve really learned and evolved when it comes to beauty. I’m excited to share that evolution – and some of my secrets! – with you on the pages to follow.

HER NEW GO-TO HAIR PRODUCTS

“Kourtney, Khloé and I each got to pick our top products for the hair-care line. I think my favorites have to be the dry shampoo and dry conditioner!”

How has your beauty routine changed since having [21-month- old] North?

I had to make a decision this morning: wash and blow out my hair, which takes 45 minutes, or play with my daughter. So I decided not to wash it today, and that’s okay!

Is she into your makeup yet?

She can open my blush, put the brush in and put it on her cheek. Today she was opening my lipstick. She puts it up to her lips like she knows what she’s doing!

What’s your earliest beauty memory?

Getting my nails done with my mom when I was a little girl. We would sit with her, and we were just so patient.

Tell us one of your beauty secrets.

I have the hairiest forehead you can ever imagine! In high school, I would wax it. If you Google [me in] 2008 or so, I had the craziest, hairiest hairline. Then I decided to laser it off – I didn’t change the shape, just got rid of all the baby hairs.

When do you feel most beautiful?

When Mario [Dedivanovic, her longtime beauty pro] has done my makeup. I could literally sit in a chair and not have a mirror in front of me and just walk out knowing I can trust him.

What’s Kanye’s favorite look on you?

He loves no makeup. We had guests the other day and I was in sweats – I was like, “I’m so sorry, guys!” He said, “Don’t say that! You look so beautiful. It’s how I like you best.”

So what are you liking best about your look?

I love where my eyebrows are going right now. I met Anastasia [Soare, eyebrow stylist] and she was just begging to do my brows. I was like, “Eh, I don’t know.” After she did them, it changed my life. I didn’t know how different they can make your face look.

You must be a false-lash pro by now.

I don’t wear them as much as I used to! And when I do, I never put them on myself. Only in an emergency situation.

What’s your current beauty fixation?

I was obsessed with roses when I was pregnant, and it never went away. I have Diptyque Roses candles all over my house.

Do you like looking back at your beauty evolution?

Yes, even if I’m like, “Why would I wear that hairstyle?” When I look at a picture, I know who did my makeup and where I was, and it brings back all these memories. It’s fun to see this journey of glam. It might be ridiculous to some people, but it’s fun for me!
