The superstar group—Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney—say their latest single unveils a slightly new sound for them, but the theme is all about hitting an emotional backtrack button. “It’s about those moments in life that you want to relive again,” says LeVox. DeMarcus was drawn to the song because “it’s a sexy way to say something in a different sort of way that has been said many times.” But for Rooney, “It reminds me of the first dinner date I had with my wife,” he says. “That night went by so fast. I wish we could go back and just live it again.”

“It’s about rolling down the windows, forgetting the hustle and bustle, and falling back in love over and over again,” says Turner of her debut single. “It has a big sound and makes you want to just crank it up and let summer hit you.”

Frankie Ballard

Ballard scored his first Top 10 hit with this tune about “rolling with the punches when life throws you curveballs.” And he has his musical fingerprints all over the track. “I play electric guitar, shakers, acoustic guitar. I put as much of myself on it as I could,” he says.

The band’s latest No. 1 hit—about the morning after a drunk dial—is “about that moment where you laugh at yourself and ask, ‘Did I really do that?'” says singer Mike Eli. “It’s about having a good time.”

Clark, a critically acclaimed songwriter, says this song is about “hope and hardworking Americans” who play the lotto and pray. “If you don’t have money, both can represent heaven,” she says.

The Cadillac Three

For their debut single, the trio teamed with Dierks Bentley, Mike Eli and Florida Georgia Line. “Ours is a beer-drinking, foot-stomping sound,” says drummer Neil Mason. ” ‘The South’ is the epitome of that.”

Sara Evans

The title track off the singer’s new album catches a relationship at its breaking point. “The woman in this song is in a difficult relationship, and she’s saying, ‘I’m leaving. Please stop me,'” says Evans. “Every woman wants to believe that if they threatened to leave, their man would care so much about them—and be so terrified of losing them—that he would chase her and beg her to stay.”

Dan + Shay

DOWNLOAD: “19 You + Me”

The duo’s debut single is a wistful love song about falling in love on summer vacation. “It just sounds like summer,” says Shay Mooney, who clicked with partner Dan Smyers while songwriting in Nashville. “And it tells a story that everyone can relate to; we’ve all fallen in love at some point.”

David Nail

“It’s a really creative and unique love song,” Nail says of his new album’s title track. “It’s hard to find new ways of saying, ‘Hey, I love you.'” For Nail, it also reminds him of Catherine, his wife of almost five years. “It’s about how after all this time I’ve still maintained this superstrong love.”
