Director Guy Ritchie, 43, and his girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley, 30, will welcome their second child together later this year. The model debuted her baby bump at the London premiere of The Dark Knight Rises on July 18. The couple have a son, Rafael, 10 months, and Ritchie has two sons-David, 6, and Rocco, 11-with ex-wife Madonna.

Rascal Flatts bassist Jay DeMarcus, 41, and his wife, CMT correspondent Allison DeMarcus, 35, became the parents of son Dylan Jay on July 20 in Nashville. The baby boy joins big sister Madeline Leigh, 19 months. “He’s gorgeous, just like his dad,” the proud papa tweeted.

• Curly Sue actress Alisan Porter, 31, gave birth to her first child, son Mason Blaise, with husband Brian Autenrieth, 34, on July 17 in Los Angeles. “We are all very in love,” Porter tweeted, sharing a photo of her husband’s daughter Cassie, 8, holding her new baby brother.

ENGAGED

Moonlighting star Cybill Shepherd, 62, announced on July 23 that she will marry jeweler-turned-psychologist Andrei Nikolajevic, 54. It will be her third marriage. “It was very romantic and on one knee,” she told the New York Daily News, describing how her fiance proposed. “I never thought I’d get married again.”

Pop diva Mariah Carey, 43, (inset) was named American Idol’s newest judge on July 23, after the recent departure of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. “I can’t wait to get started,” announced Carey, who signed a one-year deal with an option to renew for just under $18 million, according to a source familiar with the deal. “She’s totally elated,” says the source.

DIED

Kile Glover, the 11-year-old stepson of R&B singer Usher, 33, passed away on July 21 after being taken off life support following a July 6 Jet Ski accident. Glover, the son of Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster, 41, was floating on an inner tube with a friend at Lake Lanier, Ga., when they were struck by a passing Jet Ski.

Karen Klein, the 68-year-old bus monitor from Greece, N.Y., who was bullied by a group of 7th grade boys, will receive $703,873 in donations, more than 45 times her salary of $15,506. About 32,000 people donated through a fund-raising site after a video showing her being taunted went viral on YouTube.

NCAA PUNISHES PENN STATE

In the wake of the scandal involving former Penn State University assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, 68 (below), who was convicted of child sexual abuse and corruption of minors in June, the NCAA announced July 23 a $60 million fine against Penn State and banned the football team from playing in postseason games for four years. “Football will never again be placed ahead of educating, nurturing and protecting young people,” said NCAA president Mark Emmert. The NCAA also erased the team’s victories since 1998. A statue of late coach Joe Paterno (left) was removed by the school a day earlier.
