Chuck actress Sarah Lancaster, 31, married attorney Matthew Jacobs, 34, on Jan. 29 in California. The couple, who have been dating for two years, also announced that they will be welcoming their first child this summer. The newlyweds told PEOPLE, “It’s a really happy time in our lives.”

APPOINTMENT

On Jan. 27 Jon Stewart, 48, was named to the National September 11 Memorial and Museum board in New York City, where his Daily Show is based. The comedian has used his program to rally support for the 9/11 health care bill, which was signed into law last month after years of lobbying. The memorial is set to open later this year.

DIVORCING

Citing irreconcilable differences, actress Jaime Pressly (inset), 33, filed for divorce from her husband, entertainment lawyer Simran Singh, 31, on Jan. 21 in Los Angeles. The My Name Is Earl star, who was arrested last month on suspicion of drunk driving, married Singh in September 2009.

LEGAL MATTERS

Janine Lindemulder, 42, was arrested Jan. 29 near Austin, Texas, for allegedly harassing her ex-husband, newly engaged TV personality Jesse James, 41, with phone messages. According to police, the former adult-film actress was charged with three counts of misdemeanor harassment and released on bail the next day. Lindemulder and James, who divorced in 2004, the year before James married Sandra Bullock, are the parents of Sunny, 7.

RECOVERING

Bret Michaels, 47, underwent successful surgery to repair a hole in his heart on Jan. 24 in Phoenix and was released from the hospital two days later. The hole was discovered last spring while the rocker was being treated for a brain hemorrhage. Doctors said the singer should recover in a few weeks. Michaels told PEOPLE, “I will be at the Super Bowl in spirit, rooting for the Steelers.”

MISHAP

Jimmy Buffett, 64, was knocked unconscious when he took a nasty spill while performing in Sydney on Jan. 26. Possibly blinded by flashing lights, the “Margaritaville” musician was winding up the show when he walked to the brink of the stage, plunged down and hit the concrete floor headfirst. To the delight of Parrotheads everywhere, Buffett was released from a hospital the next day.

CHRISTINA’S A MOM!

It’s a girl for actress Christina Applegate, 39, and her fiance, musician Martyn LeNoble, 41. The couple, who got engaged last Valentine’s Day, welcomed their first child, daughter Sadie Grace LeNoble, on Jan. 27 in Los Angeles. “Mother and daughter are doing great,” said Applegate’s spokesperson in a statement. Adds a source: “She’s a beautiful little girl, and they are so happy and in love with her.” As for what her parenting style will be, Applegate previously told PEOPLE, “I’ll probably be a little bit hippie and a little bit type A.”
