After dating for two decades, veteran crooner Tony Bennett, 80, and teacher Susan Crow, 40, tied the knot June 21 in New York City. It was “a private, intimate ceremony,” the singer’s rep tells PEOPLE. This is the third trip to the altar for Bennett and the first for Crow.


Country singer Jo Dee Messina, 37, known for such kiss-offs as “Bye Bye,” will be singing a different tune when she marries entrepreneur Chris Deffenbaugh this fall…. NBA star Yao Ming, 26—the 7’6″ center for the Houston Rockets—is planning to marry a fellow hoopster, 6’2″ Ye Li, 25, of the Chinese women’s team, after an eight-year courtship.


Former NYPD Blue star Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, 43, and her husband of six years, talent agent Michael Nilon, 40, are eagerly awaiting the birth of twins, due this fall. The pair will join Beauvais-Nilon’s son, Oliver, 15, from a previous marriage…. Weekend Today co-anchor Campbell Brown, 39, made a special announcement during the June 24 broadcast: she and her husband of one year, Republican strategist Dan Senor, 35, are having Baby No. 1.


Victoria Beckham, 33, was awarded undisclosed libel damages from Star magazine June 25 in London. An April story claimed that the crew of her upcoming NBC special, Victoria Beckham: Coming to America, found her “picky, demanding and rude.” The former Spice Girl’s attorney, however, said in court that filming had not even begun when the article was published…. Saving Private Ryan star Tom Sizemore, 45, was sentenced June 25 in L.A. to 16 months in prison for violating his probation from a 2004 drug conviction. He was arrested May 8 in Bakersfield, Calif., on suspicion of using crystal methamphetamine.


A state medical examiner’s report revealed that Seung-Hui Cho, the student who killed 32 people and wounded many others at Virginia Tech, was not under the influence of drugs during the massacre. Authorities said June 21 that no traces of prescription or illegal drugs were found in the body of Cho, who committed suicide after his April 16 rampage.


Jimmy Kimmel (inset), 39, is on the mend following an emergency appendectomy June 20. “I feel much better and am delighted to announce that Brad and Angelina may choose to adopt my appendix and give it a loving home,” the Jimmy Kimmel Live host tells PEOPLE.


Restaurateur Bob Evans, 89, famous for his brand of homemade sausages, died June 21 in Cleveland while hospitalized for pneumonia. He had also suffered a stroke in February.


CNN anchor Nancy Grace, 47, has revealed that she secretly wed Atlanta investment banker David Linch, 48, in April—and that the couple are expecting twins in January. Grace told the New York Post June 25 that she and Linch, whom she met when they were students at Mercer University in the late ’70s, married in a small, private ceremony attended only by their families in Atlanta (left). “It was a spur-of-the-moment decision to get married,” she said. “I told my family only two days before.” The veteran journalist said she saw neither parenthood nor marriage in her future until this year. “I never thought it would happen like this,” she said. “I thought ‘mother’ and ‘wife’ was just not part of God’s plan for me. This is such a blessing.”
