Comedian Tim Allen tied the knot with his girlfriend of five years, actress Jane Hajduk, Oct. 7 at an outdoor ceremony in Grand Lake, Colo. This is the second marriage for Allen, 53, and first for Hajduk, 39, who appeared with the actor in this year’s Zoom…. MTV veejay and former Miss USA Susie Castillo, 26, wed her longtime beau, businessman Matthew Leslie, 26, in a gathering at his parents’ Ipswich, Mass., home Oct 7.


Maggie Gyllenhaal (Sherrybaby), 28, and fiancé Peter Sarsgaard (ITALIC “Kinsey”]), 35, welcomed their first child, daughter Ramona, Oct. 3 in N.Y.C…. Scrubs star Christa Miller, 42, gave birth to son Henry Van Duzer Lawrence Oct. 8 in L.A. Henry is her third child with husband Bill Lawrence, 37, the show’s creator and executive producer…. And on the way: Jordan Knight, 36, former member of New Kids on the Block, and wife Evelyn, 35, are expecting their second child, a boy, in February. He will join 7-year-old brother Dante.

  • Avjet Corp., a private jet company, filed suit against Jennifer Lopez (below) on Oct. 4 in L.A., claiming the singer-actress, 37, failed to pay nearly $35,000 for two chartered flights earlier this year. A lawyer for Lopez could not be reached at press time…. Kim Basinger, 52, pleaded not guilty Oct. 4 in L.A. to 14 contempt of court charges (for disregarding court-ordered visitation instructions, among other charges) in her ongoing battle with ex-husband Alec Baldwin, 48, over the custody of their daughter Ireland, 11. “The charges are outrageous,” says Basinger’s lawyer. The trial is set for next year.


More than a year after she faked her own kidnapping to avoid her wedding, runaway bride Jennifer Wilbanks, 33, is suing her ex-fiancé John Mason, 34, for more than $500,000 in damages and legal fees. On Sept. 13 Wilbanks filed suit in Georgia, claiming she’s entitled to proceeds Mason received from selling their story as well as damages for his alleged mishandling of their finances…. John Mark Karr, 41, the ex-teacher whose confession to the JonBenét Ramsey murder was debunked by DNA evidence, was released Oct. 5 from a Sonoma County, Calif., jail after unrelated 2001 child pornography charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.


Frances Bergen, mother of Boston Legal‘s Candice Bergen, 60, and widow of ventriloquist Edgar Bergen, died Oct. 2 in L.A. at 84 after a lengthy illness. Bergen appeared in films and on TV, including Candice’s sitcom Murphy Brown…. Buck O’Neil, the first African-American coach in Major League Baseball, died in Kansas City, Mo., at 94. After playing in the Negro Leagues, O’Neil landed a coaching job with the Chicago Cubs in 1962, staying with them until 1988.


Tamara Dobson, 59, the actress famous for her kung-fu fighting as agent Cleopatra Jones in 1970s blaxploitation films, died Oct. 2 in Baltimore of complications from pneumonia and multiple sclerosis. Dobson’s signature role was parodied by Beyoncé Knowles as Foxxy Cleopatra in Austin Powers in Goldmember.
