With a bevy of her fellow Beverly Hills, 90210 alumni looking on (Jason Priestley, Tori Spelling, Tiffani Thiessen and Ian Ziering), Jennie Garth, 28, and actor Peter Facinelli, 27, her long-time live-in love, tied the knot on Jan. 20 in Santa Barbara, Calif. The couple’s daughter Luca Bella, 3, was the flower girl.


On Jan. 15, actor Keanu Reeves, 36, sustained an injury to his left ankle while rehearsing stunts for two Matrix sequels which are set to be filmed back-to-back in L.A. and Australia this summer….

In the same vein, actress Nicole Kidman, 33, who in 1999 hurt her knee and cracked a rib while performing a vigorous dance number in the upcoming musical movie Moulin Rouge, has pulled out of the now-lensing thriller The Panic Room because, according to her spokeswoman, her knee never had a proper chance to heal.


Actor Steven Weber, 39, of NBC’s The Weber Show, and his wife Juliette Hohnen, 35, a producer and film director, welcomed their first child, son Jack Alexander Hohnen-Weber (7 lbs. 1 oz.) on Jan. 15 in Santa Monica.

Last Call

Chef Wolfgang Puck, 51, whose restaurant Spago Hollywood has been a celeb magnet for almost 20 years, has announced that he will shutter the eatery at the end of March. Puck says its offshoot, Spago Beverly Hills, now draws the hip crowd.


Rep. Mary Bono (R-Calif.), 39, who in November was reelected to the congressional seat held by her late husband, Sonny Bono, had a hysterectomy on Jan. 23 in Palm Springs. The procedure was a preventive measure to remove a benign growth.


On Jan. 25, a French court ordered Francoise Saunier, 76, who allowed Renée Broussard to live in near total isolation in a dilapidated cabin behind her home for 30 years (PEOPLE, Dec. 18, 2000), to pay the 65-year-old about $25,000 in compensation. Saunier also got a suspended prison term of one year, but she is appealing.

After seven years playing lead character Dr. Mark Greene on NBC’s ER, Anthony Edwards plans to leave the hit series when his contract ends next year. Edwards, 38, who reportedly makes more than $300,000 per episode, says he wants to spend more time with wife Jeanine Lobell, 36, who is the founder of the cosmetics company Stila, and their children, ages 6, 4 and 5 months.


Actors Casper Van Dien, 32, and Catherine Oxen-berg, 39, who married in 1999, are expecting their first child later this year. Van Dien has a 7-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter from his first marriage to actress Carrie Mitchum, granddaughter of Robert Mitchum. Oxen-berg has a 9-year-old daughter whose father the actress has never named publicly.


This month, former Vice President Al Gore, 52, begins teaching a graduate-level journalism course called Covering National Affairs in the Information Age at New York City’s Columbia University.
