No faking: After months of rumors of impending matrimony, everybody’s ail-American, cocky Dennis Quaid, 36, and gal pal Meg (When Harry Met Sally…) Ryan, 28 (at right), finally tied the knot on. appropriately enough, Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14). They wed quietly at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, not with a city hall ceremony as reported elsewhere. The two have been an item since costarring in Innerspace in 1987. Quaid was married previously, from 1978-83, to actress P.J. (Stripes) Soles; this is Ryan’s first marriage….
Entertainment Tonight’s Leeza Gibbons, 33, and actor Stephen Meadows, 40, were also wed last week in the ever-popular Hotel Bel-Air. It was Meadows’s first marriage. Gibbons’s second.
Former Cagney & Lacey star Tyne Daly, 43, arrested Jan. 14 and charged with drunk driving, was fined $927.50 and ordered to attend a 90-day alcohol-education program after pleading no contest at a Feb. 14 arraignment in Los Angeles. “I made a dumb mistake and will not contest the charges,” she said after her arrest was revealed. “I have been driving for 30 years without incident. I am grateful I did not hurt anybody and will take whatever punishment is dictated.”

Both aircraft were taking off from Santa Paula, Calif.; the two occupants of the plane were killed.
