No faking: After months of rumors of impending matrimony, everybody’s ail-American, cocky Dennis Quaid, 36, and gal pal Meg (When Harry Met Sally…) Ryan, 28 (at right), finally tied the knot on. appropriately enough, Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14). They wed quietly at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, not with a city hall ceremony as reported elsewhere. The two have been an item since costarring in Innerspace in 1987. Quaid was married previously, from 1978-83, to actress P.J. (Stripes) Soles; this is Ryan’s first marriage….

Entertainment Tonight’s Leeza Gibbons, 33, and actor Stephen Meadows, 40, were also wed last week in the ever-popular Hotel Bel-Air. It was Meadows’s first marriage. Gibbons’s second.

Former Cagney & Lacey star Tyne Daly, 43, arrested Jan. 14 and charged with drunk driving, was fined $927.50 and ordered to attend a 90-day alcohol-education program after pleading no contest at a Feb. 14 arraignment in Los Angeles. “I made a dumb mistake and will not contest the charges,” she said after her arrest was revealed. “I have been driving for 30 years without incident. I am grateful I did not hurt anybody and will take whatever punishment is dictated.”

Julia Roberts is an aunt! Big brother Eric (Rude Awakening) Roberts, 34, and his companion, schoolteacher Kelly Cunningham, had their first baby, a 7 lb., 14 oz. girl, Emma, on Feb. 10 in New York City….

The McEnroe-O’Neal love match prospers: Tennis pro John, 32, and actress Tatum, 27, expect a third Little Mac—or Tater Tot?—this May, just in time for the French Open. They already have two sons, Kevin, 4, and Sean, 3.

Love apparently no longer rules between neo-flower children Lisa (The Cosby Slum) Bonet, 23, and her pop star husband, Lenny (Lei Love Rule) Kravitz, 26. Bond’s agent confirmed that the two have separated after three years of marriage. They have one child, daughter Zoe, who is 2 years old.

Eugene Fodor, 85, whose travel guides have been obligatory reading for millions of tourists headed for foreign lands, died of a brain tumor in Torrington, Conn….

Carrie White, 116, the oldest living person according to The Guinness Book of Records, died in her sleep on Feb. 14 in a nursing home in Palatka, Fla.

Kirk Douglas, 74, suffering from back pain, cuts and bruises, went home after a five-day hospital stay, following a Feb. 13 collision between the helicopter in which he was returning to L.A. and a small plane. Both aircraft were taking off from Santa Paula, Calif.; the two occupants of the plane were killed. (Above, with wife Anne, Douglas transfers between hospitals on Feb. 13.) “God is obviously not through with Dad,” says Kirk’s son Eric, 29. “We’re all amazed and grateful, and we’re all grieving for the families of the men who were killed.”
