Paris's Wild Week
BOOGYING & BURGLARY
Paris joined sister Nicky and pal Bijou Philips at the Grove in L.A. for T-Mobile’s Sidekick II launch party. Meanwhile, their Hollywood Hills home was being robbed. “They ransacked the place!” says Nicky. “It’s just awful.”
FACING THE MEDIA, DINING WITH AN EX
After news of the burglary spread, Paris greeted reporters outside her home, where thieves had made off with clothes and jewelry. (The LAPD says, “Nothing new has developed” on the case.) Earlier, Paris had lunch with model Jason Shaw, a former beau, at the nearby Urth Caffe. A friend of his says, “He’s still in love with her,” though his rep says they’re just friends.
ON FAMILY BUSINESS
Making a brief visit to the opposite coast, Paris made a promotional appearance at a Hilton hotel in Atlantic City. For about an hour she tried her luck in front of the crowds at the Hilton Casino’s Blackjack tournament on the beach.
FROM LOCKED OUT TO ‘LOOK OUT!’
Burglars got in, but Paris could not. Back in L.A., she locked herself out of her house—a frequent occurrence for Paris, who hopped the fence after taking one of her two pet ferrets for a walk. That night she glammed up for the Teen Choice Awards in a Jennifer Nicholson gown. Seemingly keen on her Farrah Fawcett hairdo, several bees swarmed her on the red carpet.
