Archive Neil Diamond Ties the Knot By Marisa Laudadio Published on May 14, 2012 12:00 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Neil Diamond has sold 125 million albums, been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received a Kennedy Center Honor. “But the honor of being Katie’s husband takes the cake,” says the singer-songwriter, 71, who married his manager Katie McNeil on April 21 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Surrounded by 225 guests including Diamond’s mom, Rose, 93, the couple (who met through work in 2007) exchanged vows before a rabbi and a priest. McNeil, 42, wore a Monique Lhuillier gown, and event planner Mindy Weiss created what the bride calls “a romantic, enchanted garden.” Adds McNeil: “It was elegant and beautiful but most of all fun! Neil and I danced all night long.” It’s her first marriage and the third for Diamond, whose granddaughters served as flower girls and whose son Micah, 34, was best man. “It’s nice to know that at 71 I can still fall in love so completely,” he says. “Love is the elixir of eternal youth.”
