Highly Decorated

William wore a blue sash and star befitting his status as a knight of the Garter and the scarlet uniform of the Irish Guards, in which he holds the honorary rank of colonel. The star on his cap bears the motto Quis Separabit?, which means “Who shall separate us?” Harry, who has two British service medals (one more than William), donned the ropes and regalia of the Household Cavalry, in which he ranks as a captain. Both wore pilots wings—and both left their swords at home.
