“Growing up in a faming community in Nebraska, your appearance was the furthest topic of conversation,” says Marg Helgenberger. Today, fans of the hit CBS drama C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation can’t help but notice that Helgenberger’s brassy forensic investigator is also, says costar Gary Dourdan, “the sexiest redhead on television.” The 43-year-old survivor of a disastrous go at hot-pink streaks last year admits to changing shades on a whim. “I like variety,” she says. Rosenberg, 51, admits to “remaining silent” on some of his wife’s more hair-raising dye jobs. “But the choices don’t come out of a sense of vanity,” he explains. “They come out of her sense of fun—that’s what gives Marg that sparkle.”
