When Bette Midler sang along to “Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match” on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof decades ago, little did she know she was ordering up a mini-me: daughter Sophie von Haselberg, 20. Midler showed off the divine Miss S, a senior at Yale, at Zac Posen’s Spring 2008 collections in September in New York City and stole the show. “They look exactly alike,” says one onlooker. The similarities don’t stop there. “She’s a lot like me,” Midler, 61, told Ladies’ Home Journal in 1992. “So it’s comforting, and also horrifying.” Midler is currently prepping to headline at Caesars Palace in February, replacing Celine Dion’s long-running show. “I’ll be excited the day before,” she told People in May. “Until then I’m just going to try to keep it together.”
