CRYSTAL JONES

29 LBS. TO GO!

CRYSTAL’S WEIGHT-LOSS PLAN

• EXERCISE

Roma Simkute of Formula Fitness Clubs created one-hour workouts that have the 5’1″ interior designer, 27, alternating between lifting light weights, taking a mixed-martial-arts class and hitting the elliptical four times a week.

• DIET

Nutritionist Gretchen Peyton of Chicago’s Northwestern Memorial Hospital put Jones on a daily 1,600-calorie diet but allows her one cheat meal a week. Now, instead of takeout, Jones cooks healthy dinners like tomato basil chicken with her fiancé, Jeffrey Vaughn, 26. Says Jones: “This has been surprisingly easy-and rewarding.”

JUWANA HILL

37 LBS. TO GO!

The vegan, 41, learned to love cooking tofu and working out three times a week. Now 8 lbs. slimmer, she says when she plays with her sons, “I tire them out!”

SHERRY COUNCELL

33 LBS. TO GO!

The customer coordinator, 35, credits her 7-lb. loss to her new passion for running and a diet including oatmeal, fish and yogurt. Now “I eat better.”

CENDRINE ROBINSON

31 LBS. TO GO!

Along with a “new respect” for veggies, the student, 25, lost 9 lbs. by working out six times a week. “I can do push-ups-and I’m not talking girl push-ups!”

STEPHANIE CERRETA

46 LBS. TO GO!

The administrative assistant, 27, actually gained 7 lbs. right off the bat. But she made up for it by exercising six times a week-then lost 4 more lbs.

PATTY QUINTERO

40 LBS. TO GO!

PATTY’S WEIGHT-LOSS PLAN

• EXERCISE

“I’ve improved on the simplest things, like jumping rope,” says the 5’1″ nonprofit-events organizer, 31, who teams up with No Gym Fitness trainer Thomas Roe four times a week for hour-long sessions that include circuit training and running stairs.

• DIET

Nutritionist Michelle Loy of Go Wellness cut Quintero’s daily calories from 2,500 to 1,600. Her fiancé, Raymond Otero, 29, had to revamp his diet too. “We used to buy fast food meals” late at night, says Quintero, who no longer waits to eat dinner at 11 p.m. when Otero gets home. Still, he’s her biggest cheerleader. “It makes a huge difference having him by my side.”
