“WHENEVER I MAKE A MOVIE, BY THE TIME IT’S over I forget how to take care of myself,” says Liv Tyler, 19. “You get so used to waking up at 4:30, coming to work in your pajamas with sleep in your eyes and your zit medicine on, and then there are people who completely transform you.” The 5’10” daughter of Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler and former model Bebe Buell gave the makeup artists on Stealing Beauty, That Thing You Do! and Inventing the Abbotts plenty to work with. “I have my father’s legs and my mother’s behind,” she says, as well as “big hands and long, long fingers.” That Thing You Do!‘s Tom Everett Scott agrees that “Liv’s pretty easy on the eyes. She’s got all kinds of screen presence, and she’s very natural.” Currently dating her Abbotts costar Joaquin Phoenix, Tyler is inspired by “old movie stars like Rita Hayworth and Ingrid Bergman with their beautiful, fluffy, flowing hair” when she has to get dressed up and go out. I hope she’s enjoying this time in the spotlight,” says her dad, “as much as I’m enjoying watching her.”
