Ever since welcoming daughter Lauryn Anabelle in May, J.R. Martinez, 29, and his girlfriend, Diana Gonzalez-Jones, 30, have been relishing their daughter’s firsts. But nothing is more exciting to the new parents than spending their first Christmas together as a family. “She’ll eat, sleep and smile just like she does. I know the day will be more fun for us than for her,” says the Dancing with the Stars winner. Still, that doesn’t mean Belle won’t get more than her fair share of presents. “I want to spoil her!” Martinez admits. In addition to new clothes and toys, “I’d like to give her a nice piece of jewelry like a cross or little angel wings,” he says. “As she grows up, she can always have them with her.” But while he says “we’re excited to see her reaction to everything going on,” the proud papa—a war hero who suffered severe burns while serving in the Army in ’03—understands what the true gift of the season is: “Christmas is about counting blessings, and Belle is a big blessing for us.”
