It’s my party and I’ll rock if I want to…. DAVID SPADE splurged on a live karaoke band for his 43rd-birthday party July 21 at Santa Monica’s Buffalo Club, where he and pals COURTENEY COX ARQUETTE and DAVID ARQUETTE led a rousing rendition of “Sweet Home Alabama.” Other revelers included Borat star SACHA BARON COHEN (who belted out “Like a Virgin”), California governor ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER (who hung with his fam) and PARIS HILTON (who chatted up KID ROCK). Topping it all off? A mac-and-cheese buffet, vanilla pudding with raspberries and chocolate mousse bars.

Who needs Euro Disney? ANGELINA JOLIE hit Aventure Parc, a low-tech amusement park in Massignac, France, July 16 with BRAD PITT and kids Maddox, 5, Pax Thien, 3, and Zahara, 2. The family spent an hour eating ice-cream pops and frolicking on the park’s kiddie obstacle course. Says park operator Benjamin Gautier: “To see Brad Pitt knocking around in a bouncy castle with his children screaming like wild animals was like a hallucination.”

Next time: name tags. It seems MARY-KATE OLSEN didn’t recognize KRISTIN DAVIS as she tried to enter a July 18 party for the Chelsea soccer team. When Olsen asked the Sex and the City actress—who was waiting for the parking valet—to help get her into the fete, Davis replied, “Sorry, I don’t work here!”

OLIVER HUDSON knows how to keep his very pregnant wife, Erinn, happy. “She’s labeled me the houseboy,” says the Rules of Engagement star. “I cater to her every need.”

EDDIE MURPHY did give TRACEY EDMONDS the diamond ring she’s been wearing—but he hasn’t popped the question. “If [it were] an engagement ring,” he said at the July 23 Who’s Your Caddy? premiere, “it would be much bigger!”
