The youngest of the Desperate Housewives can’t seem to stop celebrating the big three-O. Although Eva Longoria‘s actual birthday is March 15, she began partying 10 days earlier with a Mexican-themed bash for 200 friends at a pal’s house in Encino, Calif. Then on March 10 she flew 18 of her closest friends—all female—and family to Los Cabos, Mexico’s One&Only Palmilla resort, the swank locale that hosted John Travolta’s 50th-birthday party last year. Besides whale-watching, hitting the spa and relaxing by the pool, “we had lots of margaritas,” she told us at the TV Land Awards March 13, just hours after her return. When her real birthday finally rolled around, she had a simple dinner out with girlfriends after a long day on the Housewives set.

Sure, Jennifer Garner kicks butt on Alias, but can she kick up her heels? That’s exactly what she and her TV dad Victor Garber did at the 13th Annual “A Night at Sardi’s” Alzheimer’s Association benefit March 9 in L.A. Garber says they practiced singing and dancing in Garner’s trailer on the Alias set earlier that day before they gamely tackled Stephen Sondheim’s “Side by Side by Side.” “My spy daddy can move!” Garner told us before going onstage. Pulling his own spy act, a bearded Ben Affleck snuck into the Beverly Hilton’s ballroom just before Garner went on to catch the show, which also included song-and-dance routines by Will & Grace’s Megan Mullally and Eric McCormack. Immediately after the last note was struck, Affleck bolted backstage to congratulate his sweetie.

Manhattan’s hot spot du jour? NA, an exclusive West Side den that opened in October and is styled after a turn-of-the-century New Orleans boudoir. Co-owned by nightlife impresario Noel Ashman and a slew of celebs—including Chris Noth, Damon Dash and model Petra Nemcova—the club has become a favorite of the Saturday Night Live cast as well as such stars as Marian Carey, Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke. Our favorite celeb encounter so far: On a recent Thursday night we spotted Alexandra Kerry chatting with SNL’s Seth Meyers, the man who regularly lampoons her senator dad on the comedy show.

LE PASSAGE, CHICAGO March 4 Ex-Bachelorette Jen Schefft joins her boss, nightclub investor Billy Dec, in his club’s VIP section. The next night they catch the play Lookingglass Alice before heading out to Dec’s Rockit Bar & Grill and Le Passage once again. Despite all the close encounters, Schefft and Dec say they’re just friends…. MANSION, MIAMI BEACH March 14 Benjamin McKenzie, Peter Gallagher, Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson—who are all in town filming an episode of The O.C.—party past 3:30 a.m. in a private room upstairs while nearly 1,000 spring breakers celebrate on the main dance floor. Real-life couple Brody and Bilson spend most of the night kissing and chatting with each other.
