Of all the guys in Nashville, McGraw, 42, is tops in looking sharp. Here’s how to re-create his look on your own outlaw.
Start with jeans (Levi’s Capital E line), says stylist Garth Condit, who has helped outfit the singer for big events. “Fitted jeans make a guy look taller and thinner.” McGraw’s are always paired with a V-neck T-shirt topped with a thin, V-neck cashmere-wool-mix sweater, or just a long-sleeve Henley, which create the classic McGraw look.
The Tim palette is simple: white tees or shirts, with navy, gray, brown or black.
For Special Occasions
Get your guy to invest in a well-priced fitted suit (try Club Monaco). Substitute cowboy boots for ankle boots that zip up.
“The black straw hat is his signature,” says Condit. “But when he’s being a dad, it’s a baseball cap.”
“If it’s colder out, Tim will wear a cool leather jacket or a peacoat.”
“It’s a modern, clean, classic look,” Condit says of the McGraw style, seen here at the ACM’s in April.
