“HERE WITH ME”
Best known for the 2009 anthem “Boots On,” Houser shows a softer side on this ballad about longing for loved ones. “When I wrote it I was thinking about wanting to be with my girl,” says Houser, “but it took on a whole new meaning after I visited soldiers in Iraq.”
“LAST NIGHT AGAIN”
The real-life couple of Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones, who earned an ACM nomination for Vocal Duo of the Year, follow up their Top 10 hit “Keep on Lovin’ You” with this “sexy and steamy song that has a little jealousy and angst in it,” says Jones.
The duo-Susie Brown and Danielle Leverett-first hit the charts with “Wildflower,” off their John Rich-produced debut. Now they’re back with a new single “about riding shotgun with a guy and being someone’s partner and experiencing all of the beautiful things that life has to offer,” says Leverett.
“I LOVE YOUR LOVE THE MOST”
One of two Top 10 hits off Church’s breakthrough sophomore CD, Carolina, this unconventional love song offers nods to cold beer, 8-point bucks and NASCAR as well as a significant other. “There’s never really love songs that guys like-they always roll their eyes,” says the singer. “I always wanted to write that song.”
THE BAND PERRY
After the smash “If I Die Young” the Perry siblings (Reid, Kimberly and Neil) offer up a “bona fide country” single about a cheating lover. “It’s a flavor from us nobody has tasted yet,” says Kimberly. “If any country fans still have doubts about The Band Perry, this song will answer them.”
“THIS FAR FROM MEMPHIS”
His debut CD spawned the chart-topping “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll with It,” but Corbin especially likes this track, set in his native Florida. “That is special to me,” he says. “I love incorporating home.”
