Nearly three weeks after his wife, Sam, delivered their third child, Octavia Flynn, Kevin Sorbo is still in awe. “She seems so delicate,” says Sorbo, TV’s onetime Hercules, whose second child, Shane, weighed in at 12 lbs. 6 oz. when he was born in March 2004. “Shane was a monster baby. We had to do an emergency C-section with him. This time we did a planned C-section. The birth was cool.”

Now settled into the family’s Henderson, Nev., home with brothers Shane and Braeden, 4, “Octavia’s already sleeping five to six hours at a time, which is lucky,” says Sorbo, 47. “Four days after she was born, I had to fly to Washington, D.C., to take over from Arnold Schwarzenegger as the representative for the national Afterschool Alliance [a nonprofit group advocating organized activities for kids].” Sam, 41, “was fine. My parents live four miles down the road, and her sister flew in from Tampa.” Meanwhile, gifts have been pouring in. “We are flooded with little-girl things,” says the actor. “But my favorite thing for Octavia is something I picked up at my old alma mater, Moorhead State University. It’s a little red-and-white shirt with the Moorhead mascot, a dragon, on it. I can’t wait for her to wear it.”
