OK, SO THE ZIP CODE WASN’T A PERFECT match. But when Gabrielle Carteris, the youthful 31-year-old who plays the bookish teenager Andrea on Fox’s Beverly Hills, 90210, married stockbroker Charles Isaacs, 32, on May 3 at Santa Barbara’s Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel (zip: 93108), the scene was nevertheless, to borrow a phrase from the high school hit, incredibly cool.
The setting for the Jewish ceremony was a garden overlooking the Pacific; the two bridal attendants wore silk chiffon; the radiant bride’s processional was not the traditional wedding march but a flute and guitar version of “What a Wonderful World.” “When Gabrielle was walking down the aisle, there was such love in her face,” says her friend, actress Linda Larkin. “I noticed her lip quivering. We all cried.”
Including, presumably, her 90210 costars Jason Priestley, Luke Perry, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, James Eckhouse and Carol Potter, who attended along with 250 others (the only series absentee was Shannen Doherty). Of course, true to her 90210 school newspaper-editor persona, Carteris was “extremely organized,” reports Larkin. “If anyone could pull off a wedding this size, it would be Gabrielle.”
