Randy Montana’s Pumpkin Margarita

Randy Montana’s favorite place to meet up with friends in Nashville? His own home bar, the Slutty Ostrich. “It’s just a fun place to hang out,” says the singer, 25. “The bar stools are shaped like saddles.” It also has a signature drink: a pumpkin margarita Montana created for his annual Halloween party, the Boo’z Bash. “It’s seasonal, looks good and is easy to make,” he says. “And it has tequila in it, so you can’t go wrong!”

Makes: 1 serving

Combine 3 tbsp. anejo tequila, 2 tbsp. pumpkin spice-flavored liqueur, 2 tbsp. fresh orange juice, and 1½ tbsp. Simple Syrup* in a cocktail shaker; shake well. Serve over ice; sprinkle with ground cinnamon. Garnish with orange slices.

* SIMPLE SYRUP Boil 1 cup sugar and ½ cup water in a medium saucepan, stirring often, until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat; cool completely.


Makes: 1 serving

Place fresh mint sprig in cocktail shaker; press sprig with back of spoon. Add ¼ cup apple vodka, ¼ cup apple juice, 2 tbsp. cinnamon syrup and 2 tbsp. fresh lime juice to shaker; shake well. Strain mixture into a highball glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with fresh mint sprig, if desired.


Makes: 20 servings

Combine 4 (750-ml.) bottles chilled Prosecco (or sparkling white wine), 6 cups chilled apple cider or juice and ¾ cup cinnamon schnapps in a large punch bowl. Thinly slice 1 apple crosswise; float slices in punch bowl.


Makes: 1 serving

Fill cocktail shaker half full with crushed ice. Add ¼ cup tequila, 1½ tsp. fresh lime juice and ¾ cup cranberry juice; shake vigorously. Strain into an ice-filled glass. Garnish with fresh cranberries and lime slices.
