The Mother of Dragons is keeping her flock close at hand. Clarke commemorated wrapping the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones with a delicate dragon tattoo on her wrist, an ode to her character Daenerys Targaryen’s beloved creatures. “MOD 4 LYFE!!!!” she captioned a joyful photo. “@_dr_woo_ made sure this mamma ain’t NEVER forgetting her babies.”

Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner
Clarke isn’t the only member of the cast with Thrones-inspired ink. Williams has a “No One” tattoo on her upper back in honor of her character, while her TV big sister has House Stark’s direwolf sigil, along with “The Pack Survives,” on her arm. The real-life besties also have matching peach-colored tattoos that read “07.08.09.,” in memory of the date they were both cast on the show.

She and her castmates also have matching ink: Michele, Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale all got the word "Imagine," and Michele, Ushkowitz and Amber Riley got stars.

Avengers Cast
Five out of Marvel’s six original Avengers (Mark Ruffalo opted out) assembled to get tattoos together in honor of the franchise. “It was (Scarlett) Johansson’s idea,” Robert Downey Jr. told Entertainment Weekly. After he, Johansson, Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner were all inked, the Iron Man star said they “bullied” Chris Hemsworth into getting one too.

Tom Holland
Given how much his Peter Parker admires the Avengers, it’s no surprise that Tom Holland also got a tattoo in honor of his role in the Marvel universe. The English actor has the Spider-Man logo inked on his foot, which he has since admitted wasn’t the most practical location. But Holland is dedicated — he’s had the tat done three times to combat wear and tear.

And obviously on our ‘shh’ finger,” Hale captioned a shot of their matching ink.

Shadowhunters Cast
Series star Katherine McNamara revealed that after the first season, she and her castmates got matching tattoos of the angel rune. "It's the first tattoo that shadowhunters usually get in their training,” McNamara explained to Seventeen. “It's a symbol of strength and means 'blessing,' and this show has meant all of those things to me.”

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul
The Breaking Bad costars each marked their time on the show with tattoos; Cranston got the show’s logo on his right ring finger, while Paul got “No Half Measures” inked on his inner bicep. Cranston told GQ, “I wanted something [...] that would give me private personal pleasure, like when I pass by and catch a glimpse of a picture of my mom, or my old manager. People who are gone now. And it seemed appropriate. I mean, Breaking Bad changed my life.”

Amanda Seyfried, Ashley Lilley and Rachel McDowall
The Mamma Mia costars picked an unusual salute to the friendships they built while filming: They tattooed the word “minge” on their feet. “In England, it means vagina,” Seyfried said on Late Night with Seth Meyers. “But in the U.S., which is where I spend most of my time, it just doesn’t mean anything. So we commemorated our friendship with ‘minge’ tattoos.”

It’s the fellowship of the tattoo: Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd, Viggo Mortensen, Ian McKellen, Sean Astin, and Sean Bean all got “nine,” written in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Elvish Tengwar script, tattooed on their bodies while in New Zealand. Monaghan told EW, “It was one of those beautiful moments where we all felt like we had been through this war, this battle, together in a lot of different ways.”

Suicide Squad Cast
In keeping with the spirit of their movie, some members of the cast of Suicide Squad — Margot Robbie, Cara Delevingne and Will Smith — went a step further than getting “SKWAD” tattoos. They gave each other (and various members of the crew, including director David Ayer) the tats themselves. Robbie did admit to making one mistake: While tattooing an assistant, she spelled “SKWAD” without the K.
