Of the remaining acts among Simon Cowell‘s girls, Paula Abdul‘s groups, Nicole Scherzinger’s over 30s and L.A. Reid’s boys, find out who was safe, who was in the bottom two and who was let go from the competition:
“It is a nightmare situation,” Paula said after both of her remaining groups, Stereo Hogzz and Lakoda Rayne, were in the bottom for the second week in a row.
Then the women of Lakoda Rayne took the stage to sing “No Air” by Jordin Sparks and all-male R&B group The Stereo Hogzz performed Michael Jackson’s “You Are Not Alone” hoping to win over the judges, who made the final decision.
L.A. decided it was the Stereo Hogzz’s time to go. Nicole agreed. But when it came to Paula, she said, “I’m not going to do this. I’m too close to both acts.” After much back and forth and many tears she finally picked Lakoda Rayne to go home because if a judge abstains from voting, then majority still rules and two judges had already decided to save the women. But it didn’t matter: Simon made the deciding vote and sent the Hogzz packing.
Lakoda Rayne and the rest of the top 10 finalists will perform live on The X Factor on Wednesday (8 p.m. ET).
