TO SEEK REDEMPTION
Why did Jill Zarin return after a season of trouble with costars Bethenny Frankel, Alex McCord and Ramona Singer? "I asked my husband, Bobby, 'What should I do?' And he said, 'Don't leave,' " Jill told New York's Daily News. "My family felt that I wasn't portrayed accurately, that I needed to come back, to have another round at it."

TO LAUNCH A BUSINESS
She designs jewelry and has a skin care line, and now wine-loving Ramona Singer will mix business with pleasure with her very own Pinot Grigio. "The whole key to a good Pinot Grigio is there's no bite at the end of the palette," she told PEOPLE. "First, note, second note, that third note – smooth as butter."

Last season, Alex McCord found her voice. This season, she'll find her best angles as she launches a modeling career. "There's drama [on the show] and it's going to be fun to see," McCord says. "But my favorite thing this season on the show is ... you see me doing photo shoots."

TO BE A ROLE MODEL
She had a tough time on but Kelly Bensimon says she's back on N.Y.C. to set an example for her daughters. "I really want to be a good role model for my girls and for them to know in any situation ... that it's really important to stand up for yourself."

The new Housewife on the block fit right in – but mostly with her brunette costars. "We were friends quickly," Cindy Barshop says of Zarin and Bensimon. "Jill was actually the sweetest girl. She really welcomed me. And also Kelly – I heard she's not nice but she was."

After her marriage fell apart, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps looked for love in all the wrong places, until she introduced the world to her new beau – and her new beau to the world of reality TV. "He didn't even own a television when he met me," she says of Jacques Azoulay. "I've been a terrible influence on him."

Sonja Morgan has never been afraid to talk about sex but will she find a relationship this season? "I like a man that's very elegant, dapper, almost feminine, not metrosexual," the told PEOPLE. "Clean, elegant, very good manners. If a man doesn’t respect a woman and treat her as a real partner ... I don't have any time for that."
