There’s a reason why Julia Louis-Dreyfus has been nominated for more lead-actress-in-a-comedy Emmys than anyone else – and we can’t wait to see her show off her killer timing and deadpan delivery when the new season of Veep premieres on April 6.

But while we count down the days until the HBO hit returns, we can look back and enjoy some of the deleted scenes featured on the new DVD release of season 2.

The Seinfeld alum has turned awkward moments into an art form as gaffe-prone vice president Selina Meyer, and in the first scene Louis-Dreyfus smiles while squirming on the inside as she tries to impress a journalist (played by Mom‘s Allison Janney).

In the second deleted scene, which features the VP giving a speech to religious teenagers at a United for Prayer conference, the Emmy winner talks gibberish (and steals from Gandhi) with unwavering political conviction.
