What would happen if The Walking Dead and the Star Wars Holiday Special joined forces to help raise money for kids around the world as part of Red Nose Day? This, apparently.

For this year’s annual Red Nose Day, Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Melissa McBride, Josh McDermitt, Ross Marquand, David Morrissey and Christian Serratos joined forces with special guest stars Jeff Goldblum, Dax Shepard, Yvette Nicole Brown and Chris Hardwick to present the spoof, which started in the minds of Lincoln and Reedus after a long day on set.

“Don’t you just wish you could do something lighter?” Lincoln, 42, asks Reedus before the fun starts.

“Something that would bring sweetness and light into the world,” adds Reedus, 47.

Unfortunately, after the spoof opening for the Red Nose Day Special – which included Shepard and Hardwick as Han Solo, as well as a 16-minute drum solo from McBride – both Lincoln and Reedus decided against creating such an event for real.

Says Reedus to his costar: “We ain’t doing that.”
