Leading a panel of lifestyle experts on her new chat show, Tyra Presents FABLife, the model turned mogul tells PEOPLE: “This isn’t your mama’s talk, this is something new and different and fresh.”
Banks adds of livening up the daytime format: “I feel like it is so important for women to have a place to relax, have fun, but at the same time learn something.”
And learn they will. Tyra’s co-hosts, Chrissy Teigen (the resident food pro) Joe Zee (fashion), Lauren Makk (interior design) and Leah Ashley (DIY) are sharing their expertise – and lightening Banks’ load.
“My last show was The Tyra Show,” says self-proclaimed workaholic Banks, 41. “With this team, I’m presenting these people and their ideas, and I can sit back sometimes.”
Not that the busy entrepreneur, who also hosts America’s Next Top Model and has her own direct-selling cosmetics line, Tyra Beauty, will ever rest completely.
“I’m very forward-thinking,” says Banks. “And I don’t tend to reminisce about the past. I haven’t even celebrated success since I made my first $5,000 modeling. My mom and I went to California Pizza Kitchen! But now, with my staff and my team, I want to remember to keep driving forward but at the same time look back and say ‘Damn, we did good!’ ”
