But narrowing the field from 203 to 20 wasn’t easy, and we’ll miss some of the dancers that showed moments of brilliance, but who didn’t make the cut…
•Robert Muraine, 20, the Santa Monica street performer, gave an unforgettable solo before disappointing the panel by bowing out of the competition because he wasn’t feeling the choreography. •Ryann Race, 26, the strip club deejay who had made judge Nigel Lythgoe think that he was watching a real live Fantastic Four member with his stretchy-wiggly moves. • Claire Callaway, 20, who had made it to Vegas in season two, only to have it cut short after a foot injury, didn’t make it past day 1. • Anthony and Antwain Hart, the 20-year-old identical twins from Linden, N.C., both got cut. •Jeremiah Hughes, 19, the shirtless Canadian who had been given more than his share of second and third chances throughout the competition, walked off the stage during last night’s audition, sealing his fate. •Lizz Plott, 24, couldn’t keep her mouth shut about her weakening legs, annoying the judges so much that they changed their minds, opting rather to cut her than let her move on. •Sheila Kaiser, the 18-year-old freshman from the University of Georgia who had gone against dad’s wishes to audition … made it to the final rounds of Vegas but just didn’t have enough to convince the judges she should move on to the Top 20. • Kelli Baker, 18, who had a small role in High School Musical and whose mother is Bonnie Story, one of the Emmy award-winning choreographers of the Disney hit–surprisingly just didn’t have that thing to get her into the Top 20. •Brandon Bryant, the 18-year-old phenom who lied about his age in the first season easily nabbed a ticket to Vegas, but in a competition for the very last spot for the Top 10 men he lost to Gev Manoukian.
